Lovely Sunny Sunday

When we came home from church this morning, D was back :)

I cooked a quick leftover lunch (all of us away since Thursday meant v little in the fridge!) which was surprisingly ok, then we headed for Castle Square in the city centre where there’s one of the new big screens and saw the closing ceremony and handover – I with my “weird English blood” (husband’s words) was quite moved by the spectacle, flags and everything; B chased pigeons, roared and tried to climb in the fountains; D was impressed despite himself, and grinned about the Delilah moment (“Sing the Nation”). Wonder of wonders – it wasn’t raining! This is a first for the last two months of “summer” especially on weekends and especially on days when we can spend an afternoon together :) We just chilled out, enjoyed time together as the three of us, it was good.

Afternoon was home stuff, just catching up after time away, mainly unpacking and ironing, then D took B to the park with his new bike (again, unusual given the weather the last few weeks) to give me an hour off; supper, bath and bedtime went well (not always a given recently) and now we are relaxing in front of the telly.

a nothing special but really rather special sort of day :D

On the flip side, poor old husband is also deeply hung-over, food-poisoned (NOT from lunch!!) and feeling particularly sorry for himself … but through the worst, and he said it’s good to be home and together again.

Sorry its been nearly 2 months!

We are fine and well and happy ,despite uncharacteristically silent. Stuff has been ongoing not all of which is sensible to blog publicly.

All the stuff I shouldn’t have blogged in April has been, to an extent, resolved.

Paperwork is interesting and ongoing, especially since another recent “change in circumstances” which is a bit frightening short term but real and right and exciting and sanity saving in the bigger picture.

B is starting school in less than a fortnight – eek, aargh, how’d that happen, where did four years go?!

We (B and I ) are away with friends in the Midlands having a lovely relax, catch up and generally dropping in on everyone who is vaguely along the route to kill as many with one stone (or petrol tank) as feasible in each direction… many thanks, you know who you are :D … meanwhile D’s bank holiday weekend involves old friends who go on an annual golf trip which involves elbows and pints more than walking or greens, so we are all happy.

The Wrapit Stuff is slowly being sorted with relative degrees of success and huge amounts of understanding which helps lots with the embarrassment factor… there will be more in the press eventually as more emerges about the company’s position many months ago which could involve disqualification of directors, fraudulent trading while knowingly insolvent etc… A good side-effect of the whole stupid sorry situation was a trip to London seeing friends, brother sister in law nephew and new niece, which was unexpected but lovely.

the 24-7 prayer day went Really well and there are some pics on facebook; I am slowly but surely also getting back in touch with Him Upstairs in different and sometimes surprising ways.

Everyone at GB, hope you don’t drown! I will try to be here more often again soon. but for now supper is ready.
