Sorry I haven’t been here for Ages…
So much has been going on – except, of course, much computer time. Sorry. Starting with most recently, last night was the Quiz, the first big fundraiser for Michael’s memorial fund. Just after Easter I’d sold 7 of the possible 100 tickets, a fortnight ago it was just over 30, last week 64 which I thought was wonderful, and then in the last week it snowballed, even 3 texts on Saturday afternoon asking for 4 tickets each. In the end we were 84, and those who came seemed to enjoy it, and certainly dug deep for bar and raffle ticket contributions. My final number from previous post is less final than I thought; it was just counting everything we took up to last night, minus costs. Apparently there is more owed still to come in. Which is nice.
Work seems to be friendly, fine, and I haven’t disgraced myself so far. More details when I’m less tired! House and garden stuff progresses, though the last projects were slightly sped up and concertina’d due to starting work far sooner than I’d envisaged. Again, details to come (when I’ve worked uploading pics from new camera!)
