Legally Blonde

It has been pointed out by more than one of you, faithful readers, that I’ve been a bit cagey, secretive, blushing and absent from here, and that when I have blogged it has been about nothing of note.

Well ok then. Yes.

Yes, I’m seeing a lovely new someone, and have been since February, and it’s pretty serious pretty quickly. But at the same time, please don’t worry, I’m not rushing into anything stupid with my eyes shut … I’ve done quite enough of that in my erm sordid youthful past and this time it’s so much more real, mutual, grown-up, sensible (but not in a boring sense!), but I thought to begin with that I’d jinx it by telling people too much too soon.

He’s called David (Dai) and we met through work and he gets on brilliantly with BB and my mother likes him and S approves and I’m happy, unbelievably well and happy, and all is well

So you can’t say I didn’t tell you.

What’ve we been up to since last the wibsite crashed?!

It’s been gloriously sunny but still a bit cold and windy; I’ve been to beaches and on walks that we wouldn’t usually be able to access thanks to lifts from various visitors with wheels, which has been lovely.

On the less positive side, Baby Blonde has Chicken Pox! It was going to come sooner or later, and has been going round the nurseries and church so isn’t really surprising, but the poor little thing is miserable, weepy, clingy, spotty and has a horrid cough. We’re dealing with it, he’s fine really.

I’ve started reading for my coursework, but still need to pull my finger out if I’m taking this degree seriously…. so I may not be here *quite* as much as usually for a bit, even tho it’s great it’s back.

Please pray lots for my best friend from the olden (London) days… I don’t think it’s politic to give specific details about some things on such a public forum as here, but anyway. Thanlk you lots.

I don’t know what’s been going on but thank you all lots for noticing, emailing, commenting, even texting (you know who you are!) I don’t know why Legally Blonde was playing up but here we all are again, and can I remember anything I wanted to blog during the last few days while it was out of order? Can I eck as like.

BB and I had a long drive last night all the way to England to see Granny and Grumpy’s new house (not “retirement home”, I’m told!), and have a big lunch party this afternoon for Granny’s Big Birthday with All 12 of Us (2 parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters in law, 2 nephews and a neice) in attendance (which only happens about once a year at the moment, if that, since we’re all so spread out). B has loved seeing his cousins again and dog walking by the river and going on the swings in the sun but has collected 3 new bruises in the first day, given the numbers of steps, uneven surfaces and wooden floors in the new house. I’m shattered, but it’s absolutely lovely being here.
